- Making Friends

Step one: wear a smile.
Step two: say hello.
Step three: introduce yourself,
To someone you want to know.

Step four: have a conversation,
Ask a question or two.
Making friends can be simple,
All you do is just be you.

You’ve gotta have friends to make you laugh,

Help you feel better when you are sad.
You’ve gotta have friends to make you smile,
Help you feel calm when you are mad.

You’ve gotta have friends so don’t be shy,
Anyone would be lucky ooh-ooh,
To have a friend like you!

A Pumpkin Grows from Seedsby Eve F. Lewis ©2006These lyrics fit the tune of “Farmer in the Dell.” A pumpkin grows from seeds.A pumpkin grows from seeds.Air, water, nutrients, and light are what it needs!A plant can grow from seeds.A plant can grow from seeds,or buds, or roots, or sideways shoots, when it gets four basic needs.

Homework! Oh, Homework!
Adapted from Jack Prelutsky
Homework! Oh, Homework!I hate you! You stink!I wish I could wash you away in the sink,if only my dogwould chew you to bits.Homework! Oh, homework! You're giving me fits.
I'd rather take bathswith a man-eating shark,or wrestle a lionalone in the dark,eat spinach and liver,pet 10 porcupines,than tackle the homework,my teacher assigns.
Homework! Oh, homework!you're last on my list,I simply can't seewhy you even exist,if you just disappearedit would tickle me pink.Homework! Oh, homework!I hate you! You stink!

Number Poem

Every numbers starts at the top & goes down to be formed…..
Number one is like a stick.
One straight line that’s very quick.
For number 2, go right and down.
Then make a line across the ground.
Go right around. What will it be?
Go round again to make a 3.

Down and right and down some more.
That's the way to make a four.
Go down and around. Then you stop.
Finish the 5 with a line on top.
Make letter C. Connect the loop next.
Two little tricks will make a 6.
Across the sky and down from heaven.
That's the way to print a 7.
Make letter S and then don't wait.

Go up again to make an 8.
Make a circle and then a line.
That's the way to make a 9.
One and zero together make 10.
Go back to the beginning and do them all again!

WHERE MY CLOTHES GO
By: Bruce Lanski

Dirty clothes should be put in the hamper.
Clean clothes should be put in the drawer.
But it takes too much time
And it takes too much work.
So I throw them all over the floor.

Band-Aidsby Shel Silverstein
I have a Band-Aid on my finger,One on my knee, and one on my nose,One on my heel, and two on my shoulder,Three on my elbow, and nine on my toes. Two on my wrist, and one on my ankle,One on my chin, and one on my thigh,Four on my belly, and five on my bottom,One on my forehead, and one on my eye.One on my neck, and in case I might need emI have a box of thirty-five more. But oh! I do think it’s sort of a pityI don’t have a cut or a sore!
